Meet Our Pharmacists

Ryan Frerichs, PharmD., R.Ph.
Ryan Frerichs is the Pharmacist-In-Charge and co-owner of Meyer Health Mart Pharmacy. A native of Akron, IA, Ryan received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy in 2001. After managing two different pharmacies for a national grocery store chain in the Fort Collins, CO area, Ryan wanted to practice in a more diverse setting that fostered “hands on” patient care and long-term relationships. Ryan had witnessed such a setting while a pharmacy student intern at Meyer Pharmacy in the summer of 1998.  Ryan and family moved to Waverly in August 2005 to pursue pharmacy ownership and a new rewarding career at Meyer Pharmacy.

While practicing pharmacy is Ryan’s first priority, he is very involved in professional and community service. Ryan is a member of the American Pharmacist Association (APhA), the National Community Pharmacy Association (NCPA), and the Iowa Pharmacy Association (IPA) of which he serves on IPA’s Advisory Committee on Medicaid and Pharmacy Benefit Managers. Ryan is active in Rotary International and is currently serving as Club President for the 2008-2009 year. Ryan and family are members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waverly.

Sarah (Foelske) Sanderson
Native of Janesville and graduated from Wartburg College with a BA in Business Administration, and continued on to Drake University, graduating with Pharm.D in 2006.  My husband, Blair and I have an acreage just outside of Denver.  Our daughter Sophie was born in June 2008.  We enjoy spending time with family and attending Iowa Football games.  I started working at Meyer Pharmacy in 2006.  I enjoy with direct patient contact, getting to know our patients by name, and am interested in administering immunizations.

Alisha (Burrows) Eggers
Native of Tripoli, completed her pre-pharmacy education at Wartburg College and graduated from Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions with a BS in Health Sciences and a Pharm.D in 2008.  She resides in Waverly with her husband Jake.  Alisha joined the Meyer Pharmacy staff at the end of April 2008 and has a great interest in expanding Meyer’s prescription compounding services.   Alisha is also interested in immunizations, as well as patient care and medication therapy management.  She looks forward to getting to know all of our patients and participating in their healthcare.
