Pharmacists
Ryan Frerichs, PharmD., R.Ph.
Ryan Frerichs is the head pharmacist and owner of Meyer Health Mart Pharmacy. After managing two different pharmacies for a national grocery store chain in the Ft. Collins, Colorado area, he sought a more hands-on setting where he could work closely with patients and build long-term relationships.
Frerichs received his doctorate of pharmacy degree from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy in 2001. He is involved with several professional community service organizations, including the American Pharmacist Association, National Community Pharmacy Association, Rotary and is an advisory board member of the Iowa Pharmacy Association’s committee on Medicaid and Pharmacy Benefit Managers. In his free time, Frerichs enjoys playing golf, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and spending time with his 3 daughters.
Tom Taiber, B.S., R.Ph
Tom Taiber is a staff pharmacist and offers 40 years of professional practice in community and long-term care pharmacy. Taiber owned and operated Meyer Pharmacy until 2005 when he sold the business to the Frerichs’. Taiber continues to enjoy the interaction with those who have been coming to Meyer Pharmacy for years and those who have recently discovered the benefits of shopping at a locally owned pharmacy.
Taiber is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy and is certified by the Iowa Center for Pharmaceutical Care. Taiber is a past chair of the Long Term Care Academy, belongs to Kiwanis, Iowa Pharmacy Association, National Community Pharmacy Association, and is a current board member of First National Bank and Centennial Oaks. He is also a co-chair for the 2010 Waverly-Shell Rock Area United Way campaign. When he is not working, Taiber can be found playing golf, watching Hawkeye sports or visiting grandchildren.
Sarah (Foelske) Sanderson, Pharm D.
Sarah Sanderson began working at Meyer Pharmacy in 2006, where she enjoys developing relationships with patients and helping improve patient’s overall health. Sanderson graduated from Wartburg College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2001 and continued on to Drake University where she completed her doctorate of pharmacy in 2006. A Janesville native, Sanderson now resides with her husband Blair, and daughter, Sophie, on an acreage just outside of Denver, Iowa. The couple enjoys spending time with family and attending Iowa football games.
Alisha (Burrows) Eggers, Pharm D.
Alisha Burrows joined the Meyer Pharmacy staff in 2008, and is eager to help expand the pharmacy’s prescription compounding services. Burrows is interested in immunizations, as well as patient care and medication therapy management.
Lynette Wickman, Pharm D.
Lynette Wickman joined the Meyer Pharmacy staff in July of 2011. Wickman graduated from Coe College in 2006 with her Bachelor’s degree in biology and molecular biology and received her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from The University of Iowa in 2010. With a strong interest in patient care and medication therapy management, Wickman completed a post-graduate Community Pharmacy Practice Residency through The University of Iowa College of Pharmacy. Wickman is originally from Coggon, Iowa and is excited to become a part of the Waverly community. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and visiting family and friends.
Clinical Team Members
Kate Frerichs, MS, RD, LD
Kate Frerichs has been a inpatient clinical dietitian since 2005. She recently joined the Meyer Pharmacy team and is excited to share her expertise in the outpatient arena.Frerichs earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion from the University of Iowa and also holds a Master’s degree in food science and human nutrition from Colorado State University. Frerichs is a member of the American Dietetic Association and Iowa Dietetic Association. Frerichs, her husband, and their three daughters reside in Waverly. In her free time, she enjoys reading books, photography and playing tennis.
Boualay Crow, CRT, RRT
Boulay Crow started at Meyer Pharmacy in 2009. She provided a pivotal role in obtaining Medicare accreditation for durable medical equipment. Crow is a graduate of Hawkeye Community College with an Associate degree in Applied Science. She is a member of the American Association for Respiratory Care and an advisory board committee member for the Hawkeye Community College respiratory program. In her time off, she enjoys spending time with friends and family.
